Just a day after revealing details of his highly-anticipated upcoming album, Eminem treated fans with his new single called "Berzerk."
The Rick Rubin produced single hints at an 1980s-ish sound and is full of sampled rock guitars that were popular before the superstar rapper's time. It's all high-energy block party material which allows Slim Shady to tout his remarkable lyrical skills.
"Let's take it back to straight hip-hop and start it from scratch," he rhymes on the track.
The track is the first feature from the rap icon's eighth studio album, "MMLP2," which stands for "Marshall Mathers LP 2." However, unlike the material on the original "Marshall Mathers LP," the song isn't sinister and slinky, notes the LA Times. Instead, it's loud and brash and pays homage to the signature sounds of the Beastie Boys.
"Berzerk," went on sale via iTunes on Tuesday at 12:01a.m. EST.
Eminem's official website states that his upcoming record will be released Nov. 5. The entire album was produced by Rick Rubin along with Slim Shady's longtime collaborator Dr. Dre.
Eminem has answered the calls of fans who have been patiently waiting for the Grammy Award-winning rapper to release his first new music and new full-length since his last platinum LP in 2010. His last album, "Recovery," won a slew of awards and sold more than 5.7 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album of 2010. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the smash hit "Love the Way You Lie" with Rihanna, which topped the Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks.
