"Grey's Anatomy" season 10 will premiere this fall with a lot more relationship drama and a major character exit.

The hit ABC medical drama will resume with more superstorm craziness, as well as more drama from Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew). Last season, April spilled her heart out to Jackson about her love for him. However, Jackson was not very receptive to her heartfelt declaration.

Showrunner Shonda Rhimes told TVLine that Jackson and April are in two very different places, and Jackson is still hurt over April leaving him. "He's [Jackson] been very patient, and she's the one who sort of walked away from him. And when the finale happened, he was feeling kind of 'done,' so her declaration is definitely going to have interesting repercussions," Rhimes said. "She's engaged to somebody else, and he's with somebody else, and it's not as if either of them is behaving, I would say, in the most mature manner. They've definitely got challenging times ahead."

As for Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo (Camilla Luddington), fans will be seeing more of the couple as the season continues.

Camilla Luddington shared her thoughts about the relationship at the Television Critics Association Awards. "They are going to be exploring their relationship this season," Luddington said. "I don't trust 'Grey's' make it all go perfectly, but I do know they are crazy about each other and in love."

"We got smooches [in the finale], that's all," Luddington continued. "So we'll see where that leads!"

A big change next season will be the exit of Sandra Oh, who has played Dr. Cristina Yang since the show's inception. Yang has had a complicated relationship with Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). Now that Yang's character will be making a permanent exit, fans are hoping for Hunt to finally have a successful relationship.

Rhimes commented on Yang and Owen to Entertainment Weekly. "I would love for Owen to be happy," Rhimes said. "I think Owen has been in love with a very complicated woman. And that's what happens. Sometimes women are in love with complicated men and they get thrown around, but in this situation, Owen is in love with a complicated woman who prefers her genius to almost anything else and that is complex."

Patrick Dempsey may also be considering leaving the hit series, the Huffington Post reports. He recently shared on "The Late Show" with David Letterman that he is unsure as to how much longer he will play his "McDreamy" character.

"I think it depends on renegotiations, quite honestly," Dempsey admitted. "I could stay, I may go, who knows."

Dempsey is an avid race car driver, and has been shifting his main focus to the fast-paced sport.

"Grey's Anatomy" will premiere with a two-hour episode on September 26 on ABC.
