WWE Champion Randy Orton and WWE COO Triple H - with The Shield acting as protection for the duo - start off the show, the company executive gifting an Escalade car to the champion. Daniel Bryan comes out to thank the WWE Universe for their support and John Cena for the title shot, threatening to re-arrange Orton's face at Night of Champions, and calling Triple H a sellout despite being a rebel in his younger days. Triple H responds by forcing Bryan to run a Gauntlet match against The Shield in the main event.
MATCH #1: Cody Rhodes vs. Fandango
Rhodes won with a roll-up after Fandango was distracted by The Miz, who came down to ringside imitating Fandango, dancing with Eva Mendes. Damien Sandow, who doing commentary during the match, attacked Rhodes. Raw GM Brad Maddox came out and turned into the match into an impromptu tag match.
WINNER: Cody Rhodes
MATCH #2: Cody Rhodes & The Miz vs. Fandango & Damien Sandow
The Miz took out Fandango with a kick that bought him time to nail Sandow with The Skull-Crushing Finale for the three-count.

MATCH #3: Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. CM Punk (non-title)
WWE let the fans decide the stipulations of the match, with many choosing that if Axel loses to Punk, "The Straight-Edge Superstar" would finally get his hands on Paul Heyman. Punk would catch the champ with the GTS but was denied his chance to physically break his ex-mentor. Axel hit Punk with a low-blow and handcuffed Punk. Axel handed Heyman a Singapore cane and destroyed his former protege with the weapon before an emotional Heyman returned to the locker room.
WINNER: CM Punk
MATCH #4: Natalya (w/ The Funkadactyls) vs. Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella & Eva Marie)
Natalya had Brie Bella cinched in the Sharpshooter before Eva Marie and sister Nikki interfered, giving Brie and chance for her to nail the X-Factor. WWE Divas champion AJ Lee then came out to ramp and told the Total Divas castmates that despite their glamorous fame, "None of these girls will be able to lace up my Chuck Taylors."

MATCH #5: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) (non-title)
Rob Van Dam's assistant, Ricardo Rodriguez, distracted his former client, Alberto Del Rio, long enough for RVD to regain his sense. As Del Rio attempted the Cross Armbreaker, RVD rolled up the champion and earned the three-count.

MATCH #6: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Christian (non-title)
Christian was thrown in against the champion after alluding to having an issue with the way the McMahons have handled the Bryan Daniel situation. "The Viper" resorted to dirty tricks, shoving a thumb into Christian's eyes before nailing him with the RKO. After the match, Bryan vandalized Orton's new Escalade having spray-painted "YES" all over his gift.
WINNER: Randy Orton
MATCH #7: Titus O'Neil (w/ Darren Young) vs. Jack Swagger (w/ Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter)
Darren Young helped keep Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter at bay as his Prime Time Players tag-team partner hit Swagger with the Clash of Titus finished for the 1-2-3.

MATCH #8: Gauntlet Match - Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, & Roman Reigns
Triple H ordered general manager Brad Maddox to gather the entire locker room at the top of the ramp to watch what would happen to any who crossed the McMahons. In a grueling but exciting first match that took its toll on Daniel Bryan, Bryan hit Seth Rollins with a German Suplex off the top rope and finished off one half of the WWE Tag-Team champions with a running knee to the face that allowed Bryan to get the pin. With no chance to rest, U.S. Champion Dean Ambrose entered the ring for the second match, only to get disqualified very quickly after Roman Reigns broke up Bryan's attempt to finish Ambrose off with a Yes! Lock. Reigns, now the next and last competitor in the Gauntlet match beat down Bryan until the slick submission expert cinched a Reigns into a Yes! Lock. Ambrose returned the favor to Reigns, hitting Bryan as his Shield cohort was about to tap out. Rollins jumps back into the fray with the referee disqualifying Reigns, giving Bryan the win. Bryan paid a price for his victory, as The Shield played "the numbers game" decimating the former champion. Triple H came down to the ramp, to watch the punishment being handed out by The Shield before Orton came down to the ring and hit a helpless Bryan with an RKO to end the show.
