Usain Bolt once again placed first in his heat, but his time was third overall in the Men's 100-meter semifinals on Sunday.
Clocking 9.87 seconds, Bolt finished behind Yohan Blake (9.85) and Justin Gatlin (9.82). Now the three will be running side by side in the long awaited 100-meter dash finals scheduled for Sunday night.
Men's 100-Meter Finals:
Sunday August 5, 20212
9:50 p.m. London Time

Other notable sprinters that qualified for the finals were USA's Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell from Jamaica.
Jamaicans and Americans have dominated the event at London and the finals qualification list is evidence for just that as six out of the final eight runners come from either country. While Jamaica is favorite to win the race, one cannot avoid the fact that USA's Justin Gatlin finished with the best time in the semifinals.
The Startlist:
Richard Thompson (TT)
Asafa Powell (JAM)
Tyson Gay (USA)
Yohan Blake (JAM)
Justin Gatlin (USA)
Usain Bolt (JAM)
Ryan Bailey (USA)
Churandy Martina (NED)
Usain is looking forward to repeat and earn his second gold medal in consecutive Olympics, he faces a tough challenge, however, from Yohan Blake, his training partner, who beat Usain in the 100 and 200 meter events during Jamaica's national track meet this year.
