The otherworldly town of Bon Temps is adding another vampire to their ever-expanding group of bloodsuckers.

Amelia Rose Blaire was upped to series regular for season seven of "True Blood," TVLine reports.

Blaire joined the show last season as Willa Burrell, the governor's daughter and a vampire rights activist. Willa eventually became a vamp herself, joining Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam's (Kristen Bauer van Straten) family of vampires.

Blaire appeared in almost every episode of season six, and will now appear on the show on a permanent basis. Blaire is repped by Bauman, Redanty & Shaul and Jeremy Small.

Season six ended with a finale fraught with shocking moments, the most shocking of all being Eric's apparent demise while sunbathing on a Swedish mountaintop in the nude. According to Entertainment Weekly, Executive Producer Brian Buckner said that while it appeared Eric died in the sunlight due to Warlow's (Rob Kazinksy) death, Eric is not gone from the show for good.

"Well, I did not confirm that he's alive," Buckner said. "Not that I want to create more conversation, because I don't, but to be clear, we're not saying how we're going to use him, we're simply saying that we are using him. I will say that I do long for the days when television audiences could stand to wait and enjoy the tease. But I understand we're living in a different time. I don't want to watch a show without him either."

Buckner also explained why Warlow's blood was so significant.

"Warlow's blood was special in that once you had it, it was not gonna wear off. It was the real deal," Buckner explained. "That's why Sookie's blood and Adilyn's blood didn't do what Warlow's blood could do. Bill, at a certain point in the season, realized Warlow is the prophecy, that's why Lilith all along said that you alone are going to be responsible for the continuation of the species. But when Warlow died, out went everybody's ability to walk in the sun."

Buckner further revealed that viewers can expect a Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) sex scene, and that Niall (Rutger Hauer) may return, as well as Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp). Although it is not confirmed if they are returning, Buckner shared that it is a possibility.

Next season will primarily focus on vampires pairing up with humans. The humans will offer vampires sustenance while the vampires offer humans protection from the Hep-V infected vamps.

The next season of "True Blood" will begin production in December.
