An exhibition battle video has made its way to YouTube featuring a battle of the generations for "Pokémon X and Y."
A video taken during Japan's 2013 "Pokémon Game Show" event saw a battle featuring the upcoming sixth-generation's Gogoat, Malamar, Noivern, Pangoro, and Talonflame against Cubone, Kingdra, Politoad, Sableye, Gallade and Ferrothorn from the previous generations.

The battle was taken from gameplay footage of "Pokémon X and Y" with Malamar and Noivern representing the sixth generation and Cubone teaming with Gallade.
The gameplay shows impressive graphics never seen before. In a twist, Cubone takes out Malamar, but it doesn't take long for Noivern to take revenge by eliminating Cubone and Gallade.
Ferrothorn and Politoad are placed in battle as Pangoro succeeds Malamar.
Politoad's Ability Rain Dance has come into play. Politoad Ice Beams Noivern out of battle and is replaced by new Fairy-type Pokémon Sylveon.
Pangoro knocks Ferrothorn out of battle but takes himself down due to the impact.

The battle against Politoad and Sylveon intensifies with each Pokémon having less than 50 percent health. The newest Eevee evolution, however, has the last laugh and earns the victory for the sixth generation.

"Pokémon X and Y" is set for a worldwide release date of Oct. 12. Pre-orders have begun with major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Walmart to name a few, with an average retail price of $40.
Pokémon fans who pre-order either version of the games at GameStop can receive a "Pokémon X and Y" poster featuring the Kalos region map and legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal. The posters are in limited supply.
