In a recent interview with Red Bull, Lindsey Vonn hinted at the bliss she's been in ever since hooking up with her famous beau, Tiger Woods.
Although the 28-year-old Olympic skier didn't mention Woods directly, she revealed that she's currently in "a new chapter" of her life and has been spending lots of time with "friends and family" during her break from her career due to her knee injury. In other words: everything between her and the pro-golfer is going smoothly. The couple has been dating since last fall and went public back in March.
The skiing champ also talked about attending her first public appearance without a knee brace at the Delete Blood Cancer Gala in May. "It felt wonderful to be 'free'! Since the moment they put it on I was aching to get it off. I had quite a few of them too. "They changed my braces from the one I got in the first hospital to a new one after surgery to gradually more mobile braces," said Vonn. "But now I am finally I am myself again. It feels like in the movie 'Forest Gump'!"
"In the last months I had to learn to be patient; my knee gave me limitations I wasn't used to," Vonn added.
"I had to gradually ease back into my training. Step by step I made progress though. It wasn't easy and doing nothing at the very beginning was a difficult challenge. So in that sense I learned to just be patient and take things a bit more slowly. It's a hard balance between pushing yourself and knowing where your weaknesses are."
Last month, the Olympic downhill champion was spotted supporting Woods at the Oak Hill Country Club for a practice round. WROC-TV sports anchor John Kucko took a snapshot of the blonde beauty who was dressed casually in sweats and shades. Vonn also followed Woods at the year's other three majors: the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open.
