Mexican singer Diana Reyes, known as "The Pasito Duranguense Queen," made some confessions about her difficult love life, saying that she had to beg and cry sometimes for unrequited love.
According to People Magazine, during an interview for a television studio in Los Angeles, Reyes said that her love life wasn't a "bed of roses" and that she has experienced major depression over love-sickness on more than one occassion.
"I've cried, stayed indoors for a week, not wanting to go out, almost not wanting to bathe because of heartbreak," she said.
Despite her bad romantic experiences, Reyes said she has changed her perspective on relationships and she´s no longer willing to beg or cry for anyone. "Life goes on and you can always find someone who is worthy and appreciates you. At this point in my life, whoever loves me should beg me, because I'm not going to do it," said the actress.
The Mexican star has recently made headlines by stating that the empty place left by her friend's passing, Jenni Rivera , could not be filled by anyone. According to Terra Música, Reyes said, "Jenni Rivera's place is not vacant. She is unique and irreplaceable."
She highlighted the personality of Rivera, who became her closest friend, and noted that the singer known as "Banda's Diva" was not just a person she admired but also a role model. "Jenni's death hit me in a huge way. Not only was she the person that thousands of people admired, she was an example of strength for many women, including me," explained Reyes. She added, "As a human being, the biggest learning that I could have learned from her is that you can have many obstacles and many walls, but you should never give up."
Reyes is currently on a two-week break in the middle of the tour that will take her across the United States. On September 1, she'll be performing a concert in Charleston, South Carolina.
