When devising a new season for a hit sitcom, it's always important to take into consideration what the fans want. Their opinions and wish lists are easy to realize. They will cry and beg until and continue to do so well after the season premiere. They're the ones who invest in the show and drive it's success. It's important to appease them. But it's equally as important to cater to the cast. More often than not, they'll express their own aspirations for their characters' futures. After all, who knows the characters better than they do?
Now as one of the most successful comedy sitcoms of all time, "The Big Bang Theory," approaches its seventh season, the cast and executive producers share their wish lists with their loving and adoring fans.
In season 7, Raj will explore his newfound ability to speak to women without the assistance of alcohol. Although his confidence is up, that doesn't mean his success rate will follow suit. Regardless, Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj, is already looking ahead to a world of new possibilities. "I love Kate Micucci and would love for her to come back and for Lucy and Raj to have a relationship," Nayyar said during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "Theirs is a really wonderful relationship. She's so good and talented and just a wonderful human being and a great addition to have on set."
Executive producer Chuck Lorre also hinted at a few new scenes that help fuel the "Big Bang Theory" excitement. "We are working on a scene between Amy and Howard," Lorre said. "I'm also working on something I'm really excited about: Sheldon has a breakthrough in his work and it lifts him to another level and he has to deal with it and he's not comfortable with it - it's not exactly what he was hoping for. I love the idea that they're real scientists and doing work that matters and that these guys can change the world. I never want to forget that; they're not just hanging out."
"The Big Bang Theory" will return to CBS September 26.
