Ninel Conde Single: Actress Splits From Husband Juan Zepeda

Mexican singer and actress Ninel Conde and her husband Juan Zepeda have ended their marriage after seven years, according to a statement they released jointly.

The statement announces that the split is an amicable one and it is not due to infidelities or any other negative circumstances. "I wish to announce that my husband, Juan Zepeda and I, are currently experiencing a painful separation that has been going on for some time. We've been married for 7 years, so we are asking the media to be respectful at this time," Conde said in the statement.

"We wanted to make this public, as a way of thanking all of you for your support and the interest you have always shown toward us, and avoid speculations regarding this separation. It should be noted that in our marriage there was never any violence and there was never another person involved in our relationship. We appreciate your understanding during this painful decision we are currently undergoing," the statement concludes.

Speculation about a possible Ninel Conde separation have been strong since early in the year. In April, a Mexican columnist said that the actress would separate from her husband. When asked about the issue, Conde told media, "I have nothing to say about the gossip. According to the tabloids I've been about to get a divorce 50 times ...how lame!"

On Thursday afternoon, just a few hours after Conde released the joint statement with Zepeda, the actress chatted with her fans through a live twitcam session in which she was celebrated reaching one million followers on the social network. Conde took time out to thank her audience for the support they had always given her, "especially now during these difficult times," without saying exactly what she meant by that.

During the talk, Conde confessed that she wishes to find a lifelong partner and that she would like to become a mother of two more children. Conde is already mother to Sophia, a 16-year-old girl from her short lived marriage to actor Ari Telch.

"My biggest dream is to have two more children and have a close family with someone who compliments my life whoever that may be that that God has in store for me. I want a partner that will last forever, a family that will last forever and to fulfill that role as a woman in my life," Conde said.
