The cast of ABC’s “Castle” has just added a new member to its roster of guest stars. On Tuesday, it was announced that “Client List” actress Alicia Lagado would be appearing in the show’s upcoming sixth season.
According to TVLine, Lagado will portray Emma Briggs, who is described as “fugitive who takes several people hostage,” in the season’s fourth episode. Briggs, in turns out, will only negotiate her hostages’ freedom with Castle.
Lagardo won’t be the only guest star to make an appearance during the upcoming season of the popular drama. As previously reported, “The Bold and the Beautiful” actor Antonio Sabato Jr. will play Ramon Russo, an actor famous for his role on the fictional 90s sitcom “2 Cool for School.” Russo, along with his fellow cast mates, will be at the center of an investigation when one of the show’s actors is murdered.
Actor Joshua Bitton will also be joining the cast for a multiple-episode arc, TVLine reported. Bitton will portray Grant “Sully” Sullivan, a new detective who’s trying to prove himself at the 12th Precinct. According to TVLine, there is a chance the actor signs on for more episodes in the future.
For fans wondering how the new season will pan out. Star Nathan Fillion (Rick Castle) told TVLine that season six will pick up “right where we left off,” when he proposes to Beckett (Stana Katic). “The only difference, I think, is I’ve had a haircut or two,” Fillion joked.
However, once Beckett responds to the marriage proposal and makes a decision on whether she’ll stay or head to D.C., the show will do a three to four month time jump. Fans have been eagerly awaiting to see what Beckett’s response will be. Will she take the job in Washington or will she stay with Castle?
“Castle” season 6 bows in Monday, September 23 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
