Apple has allegedly set plans to introduce new devices ahead of the 2013 holiday shopping season.
According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to reveal the new iPhone during an event on Sept. 10.

Apple isn't expected to unveil its new tablets, such as the 9.7-inch iPad and 7.9-inch iPad mini 2, until a later date.
The launch of new devices comes as Apple saw its stock tumble by a third following a record in September 2012, the same month the iPhone 5 launched across a dozen countries.
The stock slump has been credited to the lack of new products since October last year when the Cupertino-based organization revealed the iPad with Retina Display and iPad mini.
ISI Group analyst Brian Marshall, via Bloomberg, stated that Apple has to refresh the iPhone and iPad in order to drive growth once again. He added that the low-cost iPhone could appeal to consumers who are more wary about budgets than others, especially patrons outside of Europe and the U.S.
As Latinos Post reported, numerous sources have claimed Apple will set a Sept. 10 event. The event is heavily rumored to be for the next iPhone, either the successor for the iPhone 5 and/or the debut of the low-budget iPhone.
"The launch comes at an important time for Apple, which continues to make a lot of money from the iPhone but has seen its global market share dip amid a growing wave of lower-cost Android devices, as well as an intense battle with archrival Samsung," noted AllThingsD's Ina Fried.
The Sept. 10 launch date would come two days before the one-year anniversary of the iPhone 5's debut.
An Apple spokesperson declined to comment on the latest speculations.
