On Wednesday, Beyonce unveiled a side of herself that no one has ever seen before.
Not only did the 31-year-old superstar debut a new look sporting her natural hair, but Queen Bey also revealed that she cut her hair into a short, edgy pixie cut.
The iconic singer showed off her drastic new hairdo on Aug. 7 in a series of photos that she posted on Instagram. In the pictures, Beyonce is seen gazing in a mirror and feeling the back of her head where her long hair used to be.
Unsurprisingly, photos of Bey's new do instantly went viral and became a trending topic on Twitter. Since the start of her career back in the 90's, Beyonce has been known for her trademark honey-colored tresses. However, it's out with the old and in with the new!
The singing sensation has received a good amount of support and positive feedback for her natural look, however, don't be surprised if the mother of Blue Ivy Carter appears wearing one of her signature wigs and other big, bouffant looks very soon.
Interestingly, the new hairdo comes just two weeks after her long tresses got tangled in the blades of a fan during a concert performance while she was singning "Halo" in Montreal on July 22, reports Hollywood Life.
Other stars known for rocking the pixie cut in include Rihanna, Michelle Williams, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus.
