The trailer to "Thor: The Dark World" has been revealed.
Marvel released the full-length trailer in an attempt to generate more buzz for its upcoming superhero movie.
The film continues the heroes' journey when Jane Foster is targeted by the denizens of the dark world of Svartalfheim. As a result, Thor sets out on a quest to protect her at all costs.
The film is currently in post-production and will be going into reshoots. Actress Kate Dennign told IGN, "Yeah, yes. I mean I don't know how they edit anything, so who knows. I was careful in the first one to underplay everything in case they cut me out of it, but we're about to do some reshoots, so we'll see."
"Thor: The Dark World" is part of Marvel's second phase to "The Avengers." The film is expected to connect with the next Avengers movie and possibly "Guardians of Galaxy."
The first installment opened to good reviews and received a 77 percent aggregate score on Rotten Tomatoes. It also did well at the box office and grossed $181 million domestically and $450 million worldwide.
The movie will star Chris Hemsworth ("The Avengers"), Natalie Portman ("Black Swan"), Tom Hiddleton ("The Deep Blue Sea"), Anthony Hopkins ("The Silence of the Lambs"), Stellan Skasgard ("Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End") and Idris Elba ("Pacific Rim"). Disney will release "Thor: The Dark World" on Nov. 8 and is currently unrated.
