Harrison Ford has reinvigorated talks of an "Indiana Jones 5" movie.
The actor recently told the Telegraph that he was interested in returning to the iconic role for the fifth time in his career.
"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him where he doesn't necessarily have to kick as much ass," he said. "To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do."
After the release of the fourth film, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," there was much talk about the fifth installment in the franchise. Back in 2010, Ford stated, "I think it would be interesting to advance the understanding of the character, as we always have had that ambition throughout the series. I think it would be interesting to deepen the relationship between he and his son and play on that relationship... It's full of opportunity. The series is full of opportunity."
Afterward, there was a great deal of uncertainty about the film with rumors saying the plot would be centered on the Bermuda triangle and that director Steven Spielberg was attached to helm the project. However, the conversation slowly faded away.
Producer Frank Marshall recently said the project was not ready to go as it had no writer.
"It's not on until there is a writer on the project. There is no writer on Indy," he said.
