It's been a long summer. The tormenting heat tsunamis have past. We've survived and are now blessed with warm evenings sweetened with a cool breeze that tickled with a touch of autumn. Nights are spent on the porch, reminiscing on another wild summer come and gone and looking forward to the little that's remaining. Although filled with excitement, adventure and fond glowing memories, the season inched by, the memory of a recent loss dragging us through drying cement. The abrupt ending of "Game of Thrones" left fans with nothing more than a glimmer of hope hidden behind a scorching summer and bitter winter. Season 4 will eventually see the light of day, but the road is long. At the very least, interviews with the show's most admirable characters help us as we trudge along the muddy and relentless path toward "Game of Thrones" nirvana.

During an interview with Yahoo TV, Kit Harington, who plays the adorable yet ferocious Jon Snow, opened up about season 4 and promised fans that the it will rid of any frustration bottled up during torturous months ahead.

"I've got great hopes for this season," Harington said. "I've read it and it's fantastic. You're going to love it. It's my favorite so far."

Fans are overly curious about his faltering relationship with Ygritte, who blasted him with arrows after he'd been outed as a traitor to the Wildings. "She was pretty angry with me, yeah, and I kind of understand that," Harington said. "Jon essentially did betray her. And he betrayed his morals. But he had a different set of morals before he met her and he stuck to those. So I don't know. It's going to be an interesting season for Jon and Ygritte."

Harington didn't deny that the relationship is over, however, he didn't offer much hope. Regardless, he'll have plenty on his plate in the as he returns to the Night's Watch. "His journey is to prove the Night's Watch that we wasn't a Wilding, explain where he's been, and also get over his own feelings of betrayal towards the Wildings that he did actually care for," he said. "So it's a really interesting - is dichotomy the right word? - a really interesting mix-up of feelings for him this season. And he's got to grow up and deal with it."

Well, the wait just got more difficult. "Game of Thrones" will return to HBO in the spring.
