Santos star Victor Andrade is prepared to move to Europe.
The young player has told reporters that he would like to become the next Brazilian star to join one of the major clubs in the world.
"Quite simply, I would love to play in Europe," Andrade said according to ESPN. "My godfather Robinho has told me of the great experiences he had at Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan. He told me how it made him a better player because playing in Europe means you must adapt to different styles and systems."
Andrade was particularly open about his desire to move to England.
"I think it will be a great education for me. Everybody around the world knows about the strength of the Premier League," he said. "And many Brazilian players have done well when they have played in England. Players like David Luiz and Oscar at Chelsea and now Paulinho has gone to Tottenham to play alongside Sandro.
The 18-year-old knows that the World Cup is a year away and a strong performance with a European club could help him earn a key role with the host nation in the upcoming tournament.
"It is a very exciting prospect for me. My dream is to play for Brazil in the World Cup and I believe that moving to Europe will help me because it will help my all-round game," he said.
Andrade's former teammate Neymar recently made a 57 million euro transfer to Barcelona. Many questioned whether the 21-year-old was too young for the change of scenery. However, Andrade, who is far younger, feels ready for new challenges.
"I have no problem with Santos. They have helped me a lot. But I think the time is right for me to experience a change," he said.
The Mirror reports that Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal are interested in Andrade.
