We all know that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is a great singer, but now the boy band member will be putting his football (soccer) skills to the test.
Tomlinson has signed a deal with English second division club Doncaster Rovers and is likely to appear for the team's reserves after signing as a non-contract player.
It may sound weird that a member of one of the most successful boy bands on earth is looking to pursue athletic ambitions, but it's actually all for a good cause. The 21-year-old heartthrob will be playing to help raise money for the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in Sheffield, confirms The Guardian.
"This has always been a childhood dream for me," he told the Championship club's website. He added: "I feel very honored to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it's all about."
As a child, the Doncaster native attended games both as a fan and as a ball boy, however his busy work schedule means he will face a real challenge to find time for a cameo appearance.
He will miss Doncaster's first game of the season against Blackpool on Saturday with One Direction set to perform in Las Vegas before the group move onto California. Tomlinson will then be touring Australia and New Zealand in September and October with the band appearing in Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne before moving onto Christchurch and Auckland.
