Battle scenes are presented with Pokémon from the last five generations.
At the 30-second mark, a new Pokémon is shown. Although its official English name is unknown, it is known in Japan as Oorotto, a tree-like Pokémon.
At 46 seconds into the trailer, Mewtwo's new form is seen, but it still doesn't answer the question of how the Genetic Pokémon is able to transform.
Pokémon in the video include Litleo, Helioptile, Charizard, Flygon, Sylveon, Talonflame, and Druddigon, to name a few.
The gameplay footage comes as the show "Pokémon Smash" presented a video on wild Pokémon encounters. As Latinos Post reported, Froakie was seen battling Fletchling and Honedge against Octillery and Inkay. A second video was featured on "Smash" focusing on two double battles. The first involves Xerneas teaming up with fellow new sixth-generation Pokémon, Sylveon and then Yveltal, who teamed up with Umbreon.
"Pokémon X and Y" is set for a worldwide release on Oct. 12, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
