Love is in the air. It's time to rekindle old relationships, strum up new ones and tie the knot when the moment's right. The excitement from the crazed summer months begins to dwindle and the colder months creep in. It's time to settle down and prepare for the snuggly winter months. What better way to brave the cold than burrowing under the blankets with a loved one and watching television? And on top of that, what better than to watch shows with romance old and new to set the mood?
In September, "How I Met Your Mother" will return for it's ninth and final season. As the series comes to a close, there will be plenty of drama and complicated love triangles that will make for an interesting season, as it takes place entirely over the course of Barney and Robin's wedding weekend. In preparation for the thrilling season, the titles for the first six episodes have been revealed, thanks to Spoiler TV. The episodes are titled as follows:
Episode 1 - "The Locket"
Episode 2 - "Coming Back"
Episode 3 - "The Broken Code"
Episode 4 - "Last Time in New York"
Episode 5 - "The Poker Game"
Episode 6 - "No Questions Asked"
Recent tweets have also provided fans with a handful of subtle details that hint at what's to come in the new season.
"Have we ever done an episode of #himym where someone ate a whole cake? Can't remeber," posted creator Carter Bays. Does this perhaps mean that Robin and Ted's wedding cake suffers a tragic fate? Could this be a bad omen for an already shaky wedlock? Fans know that Robin and Ted's long running 'romance' struck a chord at the end of last season when the two were seen holding hands. Although Ted will meet his supposed wife, the Mother, that doesn't mean that he'll immediate forget about his love for Robin.
"How I Met Your Mother" returns to CBS on September 23 with a special hour-long premiere episode.
