Fans can't get enough of Matt Bomer. "White Collar" is currently in its offseason, but diehards continue to scrounge and dig for details surrounding the upcoming season. With production on season 5 is well underway, more news from the set helps quench the "White Collar" thirst.
Fans know that Bomer's Neal Caffrey is a complex being. Not only is he one of the world's most cunning con men, but his mysteriousness is equally intriguing. Season 4 featured Neal's rare and bizarre relationship with his father, so naturally fans are looking forward to meeting his mother in the upcoming season, right?
No. According to TVLine, Neal will take a break from diving into his past and focus on what's more important. The present. However, that doesn't mean that his mother will be written off completely.
"Having spent time with dear old Dad last season, Neal is done looking backward for now, and will be focused on moving forward in his life for Season 5. But that story of Neal's mother is definitely a tale we hope to tell down the road."
So what is in store for Neal this season? Previous rumors hinted that Bomer would be gearing up in his firefighter outfit once again, but now they're no longer rumors. He was seen on Tuesday, July 23 dressed head to go in the husky uniform while filming a scene on Sixth Avenue in New York City. Check out one of the photos here.
In "White Collar," Bomer plays Neal Caffrey, a con man, forger and thief. He's captured after a three-year game of cat and mouse with the FBI, and with only four months left of serving his sentence, he escapes from a maximum-security prison to find his girlfriend, Kate. Peter Burke, the FBI agent who initially caught Caffrey, finds him yet again and brings him back to prison. Caffrey leaks information on another case to Burke, but it comes with a price. Caffrey tells Burke he will help him catch other criminals as part of a work-release program. After apprehending several white collar criminals, Caffrey proves that he is worth keeping around and will not try to escape again.
"White Collar" will return to USA Network in the fall.
