It never stops. The walkers keep on coming. No matter how far you run or where you hide, they will find you. Their hunger for human flesh is the basis of their existence. They'll stop at nothing to get what they want, no matter the perils of axe wielding humans. They persist much like the details and rumors surrounding the upcoming season, which, unlike the terrifying zombies, is welcomed by avid fans.
As with almost all television shows, characters in "The Walking Dead" come and go. The series is plagued with death and in an apocalyptic world, new arrivals continually drift in and out of the herd. According to TVLine, there may not be any major deaths coming anytime soon, however, several newcomers will join the cast around the midseason mark.
"The show is casting the recurring roles of John Tyler, a rough around the edges and vulgar man with a propensity towards violence; Wayne Kesey, a gent in the 30s/40s whose book smarts are his main tools in survival; and Jordana Barraza, a Latina with a shameful past but a desire to learn right from others."
According to executive producer Robert Kirkman, the show will dive more into character development in the forthcoming episodes. He tells fans that season four will pick up with four central characters that fans have grown to know and love, but that throughout the season they will change and grow in extremely dramatic ways due to growing strains the world puts upon them. And how will they respond in the wake of Andrea and Merle's death?
"Coming into season four, we're definitely going to know a lot more about these people so it will be that much more gut-wrenching and worse when we lose these characters," he said. "A lot of those deaths and those actions from season three have direct results on where we pick up things up in season four. We'll see there was a plan involved and these things do lead to other things, which in turn, makes them worthwhile."
"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC October 13.
