Manchester United manager David Moyes has stated that his team is intent on purchasing Cesc Fabregas.
According to ESPN, the manager stated that the process to acquire the midfielder is "is ongoing."
The team has just made its third off for the Spaniard. Manchester originally bid 25 million euros before reportedly offering up 30 million in a renewed offer. There has been no news on how much the team has offered the third time around.
"When you are interested in good players, you want to give it every opportunity to materialize," Moyes said about pursuing Fabregas in a previous interview. "I will hope things will continue to move forward. At this moment in time, I can only tell you that Ed Woodward is working hard to try and make the deals happen."
Barcelona has been steadfast in its decision to retain Fabregas. Defender Gerard Pique told The Sun: "United are wasting their time. It took a long time for Cesc to get his dream move back home and he won't give it up. This is home, it is where his family is, and he is playing with his closest friends.
"He has told us he is happy and that he intends to stay with Barcelona."
"We can assure you that we won't listen to any offers for Cesc. It is not an option. Cesc is non-transferable," added Barcelona's Vice President Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"He doesn't want to go to other teams for money reasons or playing time. He knows there is competition for places here, but his decision is to stay. I am relaxed about the situation," concurred former Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova. "It is a good sign that the club gets offers for our players. It shows we have players other teams want. But Fabregas wants to stay."
