The special powers can also be shared through the new Player Search System (PSS), which will also be introduced in "Pokémon X and Y." With O-Powers via the PSS, sharing the special powers, either locally or via the Internet, can occur by tapping on the Touch Screen.
According to The Pokémon Company International, O-Power can temporarily increase a Pokémon's stats or make it easier to catch Pokémon in the wild. O-Powers can also increase the number of Experience Points gained after a battle.
The second additional new feature involves trade. Known as Wonder Trade, players can instantly trade their Pokémon without knowing what Pokémon they'll get in return. The Pokémon Company International suggested the gamer might receive a rare Pokémon from the trade.
As Latinos Post reported, new gameplay images made their debut in Japan as part of the sideshow "Pokémon Smash." The footage included the capture of Fletchling, Octillery, and Inkay.
The gameplay video ended with a preview to the next anime season based on the sixth generation. The preview for the next anime season saw Ash Ketchum arrive to the Kalos region with his Pikachu. Based on the short clip, he is seen without current "Pokémon Black and White" traveling friends Cilan and Iris.
"Pokémon X and Y" is set for a worldwide release on Oct. 12, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
