The upcoming season of Fox's popular comedy "The Mindy Project" just got a bit more krazy. On Monday, TV Guide reported that Kim Kardashian's former husband, NBA star Kris Humphries, has nabbed a guest spot in the forthcoming second season.
According to TV Guide, the former Mr. Kim Kardashian will play himself in an upcoming episode of the comedy series. The 28-year-old Boston Celtic is just the latest to be tapped for a season two guest stint.
As previously reported, actor James Franco was cast in a two-episode arc where he will be replacing Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) as she finishes up her stay in Haiti. Franco, who will portray Dr. Paul Leotard will appear in the first two episodes of the upcoming season, set to premiere on Tuesday, September 17.
Dr. Leotar is described as "the charismatic and popular doctor who replaces Mindy at Shulman & Associates while she is in Haiti on a volunteer mission." The popular doctor is a former professional model who "altered his career goals after he accidently walked off a runway at fashion week and was saved by a pregnant women," Fox said.
Humphries and Franco aren't the only ones to join in the fun this upcoming season. On Monday, show creator and actress Mindy Kaling confirmed that "Happy Endings" star Adam Pally would be heading to her show for a multi-episodic arc. According to Vulture, Pally will also be playing a doctor at Shulman & Associates.
Production on the second season has already started. Actor Ed Weeks, who plays the charming British doctor Jeremy Reed, posted a photo from the set on Twitter with the caption "Reunited #season2." Kaling also tweeted a sneak peak at Franco's dialogue in one of his upcoming episodes after he meets Mindy.
"The Mindy Project" season two premieres on Tuesday, September 17 at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
