Kate Winslet revealed that she is holding up fine with her pregnancy on the set of her new movie "Divergent."
The British actress told USA Today that she was still able to do the complicated scenes in the film even though she was expecting her third child. She said, "I'm holding up fine. I'm pregnant, but it's not at the point where it becomes impossible. Sometimes you just have to roll with it."
Winslet's character, Jeanine, is the protector of a futuristic dystopian society based in Chicago, in which the population is divided into five factions.
The actress told the publication that she was happy to play her first villainous character. "That's the whole point of Jeanine. She walks down the corridor and sort of just leaves this vapor trail. I knew I had to bring that intimidation. I'm no idiot. The idea went through my head that I have never played a baddie before. I was almost kind of surprised."
Winslet also admitted that she was lucky to have gone into production late because she did not have a rapport with her co-stars and helped to create her icy character. She said, "I wanted to break it and say, 'It's OK, I'm really fun. I promise.' But I thought, just for today, I'd let them think that I am a complete bitch."
Winslet is best known for her work in "The Reader" for which she won an Academy Award and "Titanic" She has also been seen in "Revolutionary Road," "Carnage," "Little Children," "Finding Neverland," and "Iris." She will next be seen in "Labor Day" and "A Little Chaos."
"Divergent" tells the story of Tris who learns that she's "Divergent," which means she won't fit into any one faction. Tris chooses her faction and begins her training, while trying to keep her newly revealed nature a secret as she attempts to find her place among her people. The new movie hits Comic-Con this week and theaters on March 21, 2014.
