Superhero fans cannot get enough Spider-Man. There are countless heroes that will withstand the tests of time and continue their reign as dominating classics, and Spider-Man is no exception. Since he first swung onto the scene he's captured the hearts of fans worldwide. His unique powers and endearing backstory keep them coming back for more. Not only did he leave his mark on comic book history, but he's also been the center of multiple full feature films as well as a Broadway musical. Now he's back again.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is well into production and is shaping up to be yet another Spidey classic. In anticipation of its release, the cast and crew have shared photos and videos from behind-the-scenes that feature vicious villains, wild NYPD chase scenes and zany stunts. While Spider-Man is obviously the pivotal character, fans are just as curious and intrigued by Jamie Foxx's Electro. Now, in yet another sneak peek video that debuted at this week's San Diego Comic-Con, fans can catch their first glimpse of the electrifying adversary.
"I can feel it in the walls. I feel it in my veins," Foxx says in the video clip. "No matter what you do doc, you can't contain it. You want to know how powerful I am? Well I want to know too. I'm Electro." Check out the new sneak peek video below.
In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," for Peter Parker, life is busy - between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
