Since the beginning AMC has remained tight-lipped on the finale of the smash hit series "Breaking Bad." Their vigilance is impressive. The series has a cult like fan base. It's reshaped Albuquerque's tourist industry. It put AMC back on the map. So naturally fans are persistent in their search for details of one of the most thrilling series of the decade. The epic story of an innocent and helpless chemistry teacher turned megalomaniac crystal meth drug pin will come to an end this fall, and for those fans discouraged by the lack of information on the final eight episodes, you're finally in luck. The series' return is only several weeks away and now they are provided with some idea of how the end will begin.
According to TV Guide, the first episode back continues the flash-forward from the season 5 opener, where Walter White will use a tool from his trunk for a very specific mission. As for his DEA agent brother-in-law Hank, he'll need a couple episodes to return to his courageous and persistent self. In the premiere, he remains silent throughout the majority of the episode. That being said, when he does finally open his mouth, it's because there's something imperative that he must share.
Could it be the fact that he's finally put two and two together? Season 5 left off on an intriguing note. Hank knows Walt's secret and now fans eagerly wait to see how he'll respond to the startling discovery. He has searched for the mysterious Heisenberg since his blue meth first arrived on the Albequerque drug scene. His relentless search has caused both him and his family irreparable trauma, but at the same time, he loves his family. He loves Walt. Which way will his priorities fall? We'll just have to wait and see. The fact that he barley speaks in the premiere episode proves that there's a lot on his mind, so it's clear that he's toiling with the dilemma at hand.
It's sure going to be a finale to remember. "Breaking Bad" returns to AMC August 11.
