At last it has arrived. After months of anticipation and build up, the hit series "Suits" has returned for its third season. Tuesday marked the season premiere and now that it's off and running, fans are even more eager to see what's next. The premiere proved that it's everyone for themselves this season. You can never be too careful with who you trust.
For starters, Mike is put on the hot seat once again. Harvey hates him for betraying his trust, Donna is disappointed that he couldn't maintain Hervey's loyalty, and Jessica is threatening him with jail. Rachel is also having problems grappling with the fact that he didn't go to Harvard, but luckily for Mike, she has a thing for him and refrains from ratting him out. By the end of the episode, however, Mike redeems himself by helping Harvey save the day, turning the tables on Jessica and telling Rachel the truth about his past. Way to go Mike.
But according to executive producer Aaron Korsh, it won't be that easy for Mike. "Even though they got over it in the heat of passion, that is going to come up again and again throughout the course of any relationship that they might have," he told TV Line.
Harvey is having a difficult time himself. He's written off his former associate Mike in wake of his season 2 betrayal, he's locked in battle with Jessica for control of the firm, and his relationship with the newly arrived Brits is not off to a great start.
Later in the season, a flashback episode will help shed some light on Harvey's mysterious past and explain his present day issues. "In the present, Harvey is having a case against Cameron Dennis, and we flashback to when he was at Cameron Dennis' office. That ends up, in turn, revealing some things about issues that he's having in the present day with Donna and Jessica and Cameron," Korsh said.
To no surprise at all, Louis has his own laundry list of problems. Someone has stolen his cereal bars and ballpoint pens. At first Louis is flustered by the theft, but things get worse. The British Louis stole his pens and snack bars out of spite. Then as he goes to get back what's his, the Brit takes away what really matters. The associates.
Louis will have to fight for what he loves, and as Korsh promises, there will be some fun and humor thrown in along the way. "There are many fun Louis stories coming up. Louis, like everyone else this year, is going to a little bit, live the consequences of the actions that he took in [episode] 216," he said. "He's going to have some penance to pay, so to speak. He's like a triple threat. He's a comedic character, he can be a villain and he can also be someone that shows tremendous vulnerability and emotion. We try to continue to explore all three of those things throughout the season."
Get ready for a wild ride.
