Tiger Woods and girlfriend Lindsey Vonn were seen together at the Mairfield Golf Club in Guillane, Scotland on Monday.
Vonn, who has always been vocal about her relationship with the pro golfer, was showing support to Tiger as he prepared for the British Open to begin on Thursday.
Photos posted on the Huffington Post showed the Olympic Gold medalist skier on the golf course as Woods practiced his swings, days before his big competition. According to the report, the 10-time PGA Player of The Year was also with his coach Sean Foley and caddie Joe LaCava in the practice run.
Vonn has constantly been seen at Wood's tournaments since the two confirmed to the their relationship to the public earlier this year. As for this recent public appearance, the Washington Post notes that the presence of Tiger's new girl could provide extra support to the golfer's British Open bid after displaying a subpar performance in both the Masters and the U.S. Open.
However, the Golf Channel's "Morning Drive" says that this show of support is "unusual."
"We've never seen anything like this before, right?" Golf Digest's Tim Rosaforte said in the show, reports Business Insider. "You know how intense Tiger is or tries to be during practice rounds. And now he's got Lindsey sitting there on the putting green for him."
Lindsey has made it clear that she and Tiger have a normal relationship. In fact, in an interview with The New York Times in June, the skier said they talk about their work just like any other couple.
"We talk golf after his golf rounds, but mostly I listen. We really are normal in that way. Lots of people go home and talk to their wife or husband about their job. That's what we do."
As for Tiger, he is set to start his effort in claiming his 15th major championship on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. EST.
