With the Comic-Con right around the corner, the "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" flame burns brighter than ever. The cast and crew of the sequel will arrive in San Diego this week to talk about the upcoming movie as well as feature several inside looks into the film. However, as an early treat, fans caught a glimpse of the stunning Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, in her wedding gown.
Entertainment Weekly released the image from "Catching Fire" to feed the excitement of this week's Comic-Con, where the "Hunger Games" is expected to draw an impressive crowd. For those of you who haven't read the books, the image of the wedding dress may come as a surprise. Katniss married? How can that be true? Well, in "Catching Fire," Katniss and her fellow Hunger Games champion Peeta as they embark on their victory tour through the districts of Panem. So where does the wedding dress come into play? The two champs fake their engagement to get President Snow off their backs. Then they're thrown a curveball. They're both called back to participate in the Quarter Quell, a Hunger Games event that includes former champions to compete for the ultimate crown. Then when Katniss appears for her TV interview in the days leading up to the competition, she's dressed in her supposed wedding gown.
"The Hunger Games" Comic-Con panel will take place on Saturday in Hall H with red carpet interview and a subsequent press conference. Fans are hoping that Lionsgate chooses to preview scenes from the arena, as the previous teaser chose not to. It's unclear what exactly is in store for the "Catching Fire" panel, but we do know that Lawrence will make an appearance alongside co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Willow Shields and Jeffrey Wright.
