What's New York without heroes? Everyday there are countless acts of heroism, most of which go unnoticed. These acts create role models and make for a safer and more courageous city. They inspire hope in an otherwise faltering humanity. It's irrelevant that most heroes remain off the grid. That's not what's important. They need not be a shining beacon or a universal symbol, their acts of kindness and bravery alone are what's essential to our livelihood. Besides, there are fictional heroes that hog the limelight and serve as shimmering symbols for children and adults alike.
One of the world's best known heroes is currently amidst production on yet another full feature film depicting his awesomeness. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" isn't set to hit theaters until next May, however, Spidey fans have been eager and successful in getting their hands on revealing details from the set. Photos, interviews, clips and behind-the-scene footage have provided them with all they need to tie them over until the 2014 spring premiere, but unsurprisingly, there's even more.
Now a new set of photos from Entertainment Weekly gives an even clearer glimpse at what the "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel is going to look like. They feature a full CGI version of Jamie Foxx's Electro villain, a rabid Rhino who's played by Paul Giamatti, a tender moment between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, and more. Check out the newest set photos here.
In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," for Peter Parker, life is busy - between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
