Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures continue releasing promotional material for the upcoming "Godzilla" reboot.
This time the company has released a new poster of the movie which shows destroyed buildings in the shape of the monster. There are also Japanese letters in red and the Godzilla title in white. At the bottom of the poster reads "Comic-Con 2013."
The poster was released a day after director Gareth Edwards posted a video diary announcing that Legendary Pictures was planning something big. He stated, "Legendary has something very exciting planned that I can't tell you too much about. Something very big is heading to San Diego." He also revealed that principal production was almost finished and that it would soon start post-production.
The Company recently launched a viral website which has posted news stories about Godzilla. The idea behind it is to give fans clues on what they can expect at the Comic-Con exposition and in the final picture.
"Godzilla" will return to Comic-Con on Wednesday after the studio announced the project last year at the same event. In 2012, Warner Bros. showed a video of a destroyed city and also featured the voice of Robert Oppenheimer, the scientific director on the Manhattan Project.
The new movie tells the story of a giant radioactive monster called Godzilla that awakens from its sleep to wreak destruction on its creators."Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Bryan Cranston, Ken Wattanabe, and Sally Hawkins and is written by Max Borenstein and Dave Callaham. Warner Bros will release it on May 16, 2014 nationwide.
