The royal baby watch is still in full swing but daddy-to-be Prince William seems to be working on a different swing.
Over the weekend, the prince was at a charity polo match in Cirencester, Gloucestershire - 100 miles away from pregnant wife Kate Middleton. But don't worry, the prince had everything under control.
Heading his charity event to raise funds for a number of organizations and foundations he supports, Prince William had a car on standby at the polo match, with police ready to escort him to St. Mary's Hospital in Central London in case Kate goes into labor and the royal baby decides to arrive.
Nevertheless, the match went unhindered, and as Mirror News reported, "there was no baby drama yesterday."
William played polo alongside brother Harry in the match that lasted one hour and a half. The princes, who played for team Cirencester Purple, lost to Cirencester Black in a well-fought match that had William saying "Oh, come on!" several times, the Mirror News noted.
According to a Palace source, the 31-year-old prince had changed his mind several times about the charity event, as he wanted to be by the Duchess of Cambridge's side through this important moment.
"Initially his office said yes, then said no, and then confirmed that he would be playing," the surce told the Mirror News. "I think he was torn as, clearly, he wants to be with his wife at such an important time. But he was all too aware how much the event raises for charities he is passionate about."
As for the royal baby's real due date, there seem to have no signs still.
ABC reported that many of the British press believed the first child of the royal couple will arrive on Sunday. But as the weekend passed, still there was no word on the baby.
"The big news is still that there is no news," Tom Sykes of The Daily Beast wrote on his blog.
And so the world continues to wait.
