There's been nothing but rampant, fever-pitched speculation about the potential cast for the "50 Shades of Grey" movie, and while nothing's been set in stone, all of the rumors have elicited a comment from one potential Christian Grey.
It wasn't too long ago that Matt Bomer dropped his initial thoughts on playing Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic romance novel.
"I need to read the book and see who the director is but it sounds amazing. From what I hear people are really into the story so I've got to check out," Bomer told Access Hollywood at the premier for the movie "Magic Mike."
Naturally, this sent legions of 50 Shades and Bomer fans into a frenzy, as most of them took the quote as Bomer saying that he's definitely interested. After keeping mum about his interest in playing Christian Grey in a 50 Shades movie, Bomer has finally spoken out.
"No comment. That's my line on that. But it's very flattering that I've got fans who would like to see me in things," Bomer told Metro UK when asked about an online campaign that wants to see him suit up as Grey.
Honest? Yes. Encouraging for Bomer fans? No. Still, that hasn't stopped fans from expressing their enthusiasm to see Bomer in the lead role.
If Matt Bomer gets the role of that one guy in 50 Shades of Gray can I get the role of the girl!?

If Matt Bomer is Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie, I won't be able to see the movie in theaters because I will cream my pants. — Miss 'Merica (@RealMericanGirl) May 30, 2013
