Universal has released the first poster to its upcoming "Jurassic Park 4" in anticipation for San Diego's Comic-Con.
The new poster shows an image of a bug suspended inside a chunk of amber. According to Crave Online, the image resembles a poster that was released for the original installment. Additionally, the poster has a slogan that states "Life Found a Way." At the top of the one sheet, it says Summer 2015 and has both Amblin Entertainment and Universal's logos.
The new installment has been in the works for years with many setbacks and delays. Colin Trevorrow was recently signed on to direct the film. The helmer is currently in pre-production and revealed that his team will honor the original trilogy. He stated, "We don't want to create a new scoop here, but we really want to honor what came before us. We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time in conversations." He continued, "It's not about us, it's not about our careers, it's 'how do we make something that can stand [against the first Jurassic Park]?'"
He also stated that he was thrilled to work with Steven Spielberg on the film. "It's incredible to have Steven [Spielberg], who's done this for decades and has such an incredible filmic knowledge and this understanding of the language of story - in a way that for us, is very refreshing. It's not like getting notes from a studio executive."
While are skeptical about the fourth installment being released in two years, the film will be presented at Comic-Con with Treverrow and studio executives present. There have been no casting announcements, but perhaps at the exposition, Universal will give more insight on the development or present the first cast members.
