George Clooney Splits With Girlfriend Stacy Keibler

One of People magazine's sexiest men alive has become an eligible bachelor, once again.

George Clooney and his girlfriend of two years, Stacy Keibler, have officially split. According to inside sources, Keibler, a 33-year-old actress and model, decided to call off her romance with the 52-year-old actor. 

"Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that," a source close to the couple told People. "They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago."

However, the source added that the two will remain amicable. "They talk every day. They were friends before they started dating and they'll be friends after. It was a friendly [breakup]," said the unidentified source.

The news of a split comes after the pair had spent a lot of time apart. According to RadarOnline, they were last photographed together on March 16 in Berlin, where Clooney was filming his upcoming drama "Monuments Men."

"They haven't seen each other in a while and they've both been working so much, so in recent months, they've started growing apart," a second source told People.

Over the holiday weekend, Clooney was spotted at his Lake Como estate in Italy without the blonde beauty, while Keibler partied with girlfriends in Los Angeles and posted a photo of herself in Malibu on July 3. She is also busy working on her new Lifetime TV series, "Supermarket Superstar," which premieres July 22.

In a recent interview with People, Keibler spoke about her hectic schedule and her desire to travel this summer. "My schedule is keeping me pretty busy until the show airs and then hopefully I'll get the chance to go to Europe," she said.
