The hit series "Sons of Anarchy" is approaching its final season. The sixth and penultimate season will begin this fall with SAMCRO in worse shape than ever before. With Tara heading to jail and Jax toiling with the death of his best friend Opie, a dark cloud has been cast over the club. Will Jax resort back to the morals his father originally aspired to implement into SAMCRO, or will his ruthlessness continue to wreak havoc on himself and the club? The answer remains unclear, however, a recent interview with writer Christopher Golden sheds some light on what fans can expect from season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy."
The new season will introduce a new character named Kendra, who'll play a pivotal role as the show cruises forward.
"Kendra's uncle was a member and he always told her that if she was ever in real trouble, the Sons would help her," Golden told Newsarama. "She's in real trouble."
Tig (Kim Coates) was once Kendra's uncle's best friend, so he seems like the right person for the new character to reach out to for a helping hand. However, in the wake of watching his daughter get burnt alive, he may not be the most stable or sane person in SAMCRO. Then again, they are hard to come by.
"Once upon a time, Tig was her uncle's best friend in the club," Golden said. "Once upon a time, they wanted to kill each other. Now she needs help and comes to him... unaware that he's just lost his daughter and may be less stable than ever."
The introduction of Kendra is solely based on the comic series, as no official word from the "Sons of Anarchy" team has surfaced. Her role would fit in nicely to the plotline, however. With Tig on the brink of a breakdown and Jax feeling weak without the immediate support of Tara, perhaps Kendra will cozy up to the club leader. Fans will just have to wait and see.
"Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX on September 11.
