Investigators have found new evidence implicating former tight end for the New England Patriots, Aaron Hernandez, who is charged with the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd. Authorities have also disclosed that Hernandez was refused the possibility of marrying inside prison.

Court documents show that a search in a secret house that Hernandez rented delivered "key evidence" in the murder case against him. After a search warrant was obtained for a Franklin, Mass., condominium that the NFL star rented, authorities found gun ammunition of the same caliber used in the death of Odin Lloyd, plus a white sweatshirt similar to the one Hernandez allegedly wore on the night of the murder.

They also found a red cap with the word "society" written backwards in white, similar to the hat Hernandez was seen wearing outside a nightclub in Boston on June 14. A policeman said the clothes could place Hernandez in the crime scene and establish his location before the murder.

"The white sweatshirt could be used to link Hernandez to the crime scene," Michael Bates, detective with the District Attorney's Office Bristol County.
wrote in an official statement. "The baseball cap could help provide the location of Hernandez on the Friday night before the killing. This night, in particular, is critical in the time line of events that led to murder."

Hernandez, 23, is accused of orchestrating the murder of Lloyd on June 17, after an altercation at a nightclub.

Bristol County Sheriff, Thomas Hodgson reiterated that his office will not allow Hernandez to marry his fiancee while incarcerated on a murder charge. "We will not change our security system to allow weddings in our prisons. If you want to marry, what you do is stay out of prison," Hodgson said in an interview with NFL Network.

According to analysts, the intended marriage could be a move that would allow Hernandez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins to skip testifying against the former tight end. Prosecutors said investigators had been in contact with Jenkins until she received a phone call from Hernandez, who told her to stop talking to them.

Hernandez is also being investigated in connection to a double murder that took place on July 16, 2012, in Boston's South End, as well as in a February 2013 shooting that happened outside a Miami strip club.
