Despite many suggesting Eminem would release his new record July 2, it looks like all the speculation was nothing more than wishful thinking. Now, the only thing that Sim Shady fans can do is hope that the award-winning rapper drops some fresh tunes by this fall.
Fans have anxiously been waiting for the rap superstar to drop his eighth studio LP since he last debuted "Recovery" in 2010. Eminem's hype man, Mr. Porter, said that Shady's new tracks were "supposed to" drop the day after Memorial Day. But now the former D12 rapper says it's more likely that the record will hit airwaves sometime in the fall, reports MStars News. However, previous rumors also suggested that the release date could be as early as July 2. Those allegations have been proven false for obvious reasons.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old rap superstar has given fans a taste of what to expect from his new LP with a 90 second teaser song titled "Symphony In H," however the song isn't expected to be featured on Eminem's forthcoming studio album. The track is authentic to Em's hardcore rapping style and is loaded with venom, vigor and violent imagery. The snippet, which premiered on DJ Tony Touch's Shade 45 show, can be streamed below. The full song is expected to appear on Tony Touch's upcoming mixtape, "The Piece Maker 3: Return of the 50 MCs," due July 9.
Eminem's fans will also get to see the hip hop icon perform during his mini-tour in Europe which kicks off August 15. According to MStars, here's where he's scheduled to play:
