In growing anticipation of its upcoming season, "American Horror Story" continues to beef up its cast for its premiere. At first, an almost entirely female cast dominated season 3, titled 'Coven.' However, now as the production barrels towards the premiere, more casting details, particularly those surrounding male actors, continue to flood the "American Horror Story' rumor wheelhouse.
In most recent news, the show is looking for someone to fill the role of a man named Theodore, a guest that will make an appearance in the first episode. The character is described as a 60-year-old man who is "often subject to nagging."
"American Horror Story" is still searching for the actor to play Dr. David Zhong. One of the audition tapes, featuring Byron Mann from "Arrow," leaked online last week, however, has since been taken down. Dr. Zhong is described as a charming Asian doctor, and the audition tape revealed that he's working on a youth serum. It's unclear what role the serum will play in the upcoming season, but fans will find out soon enough.
In the tape, Dr. Zhong claims that the serum needs another two years before it's ready, despite a yearning character named Maude who demands to take it immediately. There are plenty of directions 'Coven' could go here, but it appears as though an immature youth serum could cause detrimental side effects that could drive the show forward.
The potential side effects could even be deadly, or at least terrifyingly gruesome. Actress Sarah Paulson recently posted a disturbing photo from the set of 'Coven' on her Twitter. The photo features a deformed and zombified Taissa Fargima and reminds fans of how "American Horror Story" can make you cringe and lose your lunch in a split second. Check out the photo below.
"American Horror Story" will return to FX in October.
