Brazil has won the Confederations Cup defeating Spain 3-0 on Sunday.
The Brazilians earned their third straight Confederations Cup victory thanks to a brace from Fred and a terrific goal from suerstar Neymar. Throughout the match, Brazil harried and chased Spain all over the pitch breaking down its Tiki Taka gameplay.
It was apparent from the start that Spain was at a disadvantage. Brazil was playing on home field and the crowd was filled with Brazilian fans. Before kick-off the Brazilian national anthem was sung passionately, and the stadium erupted into cheers.
In the second minute of the game Hulk received the ball on the Brazil right and passed it into the Spain six-yard box. Neymar attempted to control the ball but dropped just in front of Fred. He scooped his right foot under the ball and sent a shot over a fallen Iker Casillas to score the first goal of the game.
In the 44th minute of the game, Neymar received a pass from Oscar in Spain's area. He took control of the ball and then shot it past Casillas into the top of the net.
The final goal came two minutes into the second half. Once again Fred scored a goal. He received the ball on the left of the Spanish area and curled a shot past Casillas.
However the Spanish had one opportunity to score. During the second half Marcelo fouled Jesus Navas in the Brazil penalty area. Sergio Ramos then took the penalty shot but was stopped by Julio Cesar. The ball hit the post on its way out of play.
Gerard Pique then saw a red card with just over 20 minutes left after bringing down Neymar as he sprinted towards the goal. The Spanish would play the remainder of the game with ten players.
After 92 minutes the game ended giving Brazil the Confederations Cup and ending Spain's reign.
