"Sons of Anarchy" fans may be experiencing withdrawal as the long summer months ensue without any new episodes to keep them satisfied. Luckily, there is an antidote. Perhaps it won't cure the sickness, but it will help ease the pain. As production on the sixth season enters its early phases, certain details give fans an idea of what's on the horizon. In a recent interview with Scott Reynolds, Jimmy Smits, who plays Nero on the show, shed some light on the approaching season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy."
"When you take on an arc like this, you really don't know what's going to happen," Smits said. "That has a lot to do with the fact that the season really hasn't been plotted out totally to the end."
That's not too comforting for "SOA" fans. To know that the season 6 script is not completed may be disconcerting, but that doesn't mean that all is lost. The writers are making sure that the season is best that it can be. There will be plenty of major plot shifts introduced with Clay and Tara in prison.
Maggie Siff, who plays Tara on the show, also opened up recently about what's in store for her character and the rest of SAMCRO in season 6.
"None of us feel safe. Everybody on the show is like, oh God," she told Entertainment Weekly. "[Kurt Sutter] is definitely not afraid to have terrible things happen to the people who are involved in the club. That's one of the consequences of the life, and I think he's really trying to pull the curtain back on that."
"I think we all feel like we're in the homestretch of this series [which Sutter believes will last seven seasons]," she added. "It's going to be drawn-out and bloody, but we're all ready for however that plays out."
"Sons of Anarchy" will return to FX on Wednesday, September 11.
