As the November premiere date approaches, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" buzz is heating up in a serious way. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on June 19, Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta, talked about the developing romance between his character and Katniss Everdeen, who's played by Jennifer Lawrence.
"I can't divulge any kind of plot details, but it's up and down," Hutcherson said. "Katniss and Peeta's relationship is very complicated. It has a lot of little things that need to be worked out, but it's good. People, I think, will be very satisfied with it."
In the upcoming sequel, the two will even share a long desired kiss, which Hutcherson had no qualms with. "I'd say there's a natural stirring that happens in your body," he said. "If you're in the moment and you're in the scene, then naturally whatever naturally happens is what's supposed to happen."
And what about the movie as a whole, separate from Katniss and Peeta's relationship?
"In this movie the story opens up a lot. There's a lot more interesting plot that starts to develop and everything thickens and we up the overall feel of the movie," Hutcherson said. "We kept the same idea of the first with the whole world but we just kind of bumped it up a little bit and made it immersive. It's really great we stay true to the book as always. The characters are all fantastic. We got some amazing actors to come in."
In addition to Hutcherson's insight on "Catching Fire," a recent video by Fine Brothers Productions shows a slew of teen reactions to the film's official trailer. They giggle, scream and sing. Some proudly admit to reading the book, while others claim, "ain't nobody got time for that." Check out the hilarious video below.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" will hit theaters on November 22.
