As the third season of "American Horror Story" approaches, new information continues to provide fans with an idea of what they can expect. In a recent interview, Taissa Farmiga, who recently starred in "The Bling Ring," opened up about the forthcoming season, titled "Coven."
Farmiga didn't appear in season 2 of "American Horror Story," but will be making her return in "Coven." While fans may have been upset, the actress admitted that it was a blessing in disguise, as it gave her time to work on her movie career. That being said, she's glad to be back in "AHS" action.
"I'm very excited to come back, I can tell you that," Farmiga said during an interview with Examiner. When offered the role, she immediately jumped on the opportunity. She's excited not only to be back on the show, but also to be reunited with her costars from season 1.
"I'm just looking forward to working with the cast again. I haven't seen them in like a year and a half," she said. She added that although she has yet to see an official script for "Coven," she promised fans that it's "going to be pretty awesome." She may not have seen the scripts, but her excitement and enthusiasm are encouraging.
During the interview, the young actress also talked about working alongside director Sofia Coppola on "The Bling Ring," which hit theaters a week and a half ago.
"There's something about Sofia that you just want to listen to her," Farmiga said. She added that Coppola, unlike many other directors she's worked with in the past, gave her freedom to add her own flavor to the role. She said that Coppola "made us feel like we were working with her, even when we were really working for her. That was amazing."
"American Horror Story" won't return until fall, but be sure to check out Farmiga in "The Bling Ring" in the interim.
