Italy and Brazil will battle on Saturday afternoon to decide which side wins Group A in the Confederations Cup. The teams will also be battling to avoid facing Spain in the semifinals.
Both sides have already qualified for the next round after winning both of their matches. However, Brazil holds the goal differential advantage with five goals scored and none conceded in their first two games; Italy scored six goals and allowed four in its first two games.
The spotlight will be on each team's top offensive weapons. For Italy, the media will continue to watch the combination of Andrea Pirlo and Mario Balotelli while Neymar will continue to garner attention for the home side. The 21-year old Brazilian has already scored two strong goals in his first two Confederations Cup matches; both were volleys.
"I'm happy I scored two great goals. The match against Italy will be a very tough one though," Neymar told reporters. "They're a fantastic team, and I hope I can score against them. No matter how if it helps the national team."
Meanwhile Italy will hope to get more production from Balotelli and Pirlo. The duo scored a goal apiece in the first match against Mexico. Pirlo did not score in the second match against Japan, but Balotelli scored a penalty goal in that match.
Prediction: Italy has more on the line as it would finish second with a draw. Look for the Azzurri to pull off a 2-1 victory against Brazil.
