Actress Eva Longoria will be doing the voice of a new character to appear on Fox's The Simpson next season. While talking to TV Guide, Longoria shared a few details about her upcoming role. "I play Isabel, a new student who is finally Lisa's intellectual equal", she said. "This is a big stretch for me not only because it's voice work, which I rarely do, but also [because] I'm playing a Republican and I'm obviously a Democrat".
Longoria is not the only Hispanic star who has been Simpsonized, let's take a look at a list made by Latina.com of another Latinos who have voiced Simpson characters:
Lea Michele
The 26 year-old actress and singer is best known for her role as Rachel Berry on Glee. She voiced herself in the season 22 episode "Elementary School Musical", appearing as Sarah, an attendee of Expressions, a performing arts camp. She along with Glee co-stars Cory Monteith and Amber Riley sang to Lisa upon her arrival to the camp and in several times during her stay there. She stated on Twitter: "Recorded an episode of the Simpsons today! SO cool!!! Will let everyone know when it's gonna air!".
Oscar de la Hoya
The Mexican boxing legend appeared as himself in "Treehouse of Horror XIV", the first episode of the show's 15th season. When Bart and Millhouse stopped time and broke the watch, they move a frozen Oscar De La Hoya and placed him in the Simpson home. Millhouse punched him after Bart let him. The boxer is later seen punching Martin as the town thinks it's Martin who pulled all the pranks. De La Hoya is also one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".
Tito Puente
The Puerto Rican-American bandleader and musician was best known for receiving a Latin Grammy in 2000. Tito was a recurring guest star on The Simpsons, appearing as himself in "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part One" in season six and "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part Two" in season seven. His character was a jazz musician and music teacher at Springfield Elementary School for a brief time. He was also a suspect in the attempted murder of Mr. Burns. Puente, who died in 2000 at the age of 77, was voted 22nd in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Appearances".
Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima
Best known as Ronaldo, is a retired Brazilian former soccer player. He guest starred on the season 18 episode "Marge Gamer", where he got on Homer and Lisa's nerves when he exposed Lisa as a flopper. He says: "I travel the world, exposing floppers. And your daughter is a flopper." Homer accepts that and gives Lisa a red card, angering her. The rest of the family (except Marge) later play soccer with him. The 36-year-old is the only soccer player to ever appear on the show.
Cheech Marin
He is an actor, comedian and writer. Cheech paid Springfield a visit as himself in season 22's "A Midsummer's Nice Dream". The episode was a play on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and the Cheech & Chong movie Nice Dreams.
