Sofia Vergara is the highest paid Latin actress in Hollywood, according to voxxi.com.
The Colombian beauty made $19 million in a year, thanks to her taking part in the show "Modern Family", alongside with her clothing line and the commercials she has starred in, like the one for Pepsi. Next on the list comes Cuban-American actress Cameron Diaz, who was in Forbes' list of highest paid actors in 2012 with the amazing sum of $34 million, only in that year. Zoe Saldana, the dominican actress who has starred in movies like "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl", "Avatar" and "Star Trek", is said to have earned the amount of $10.5 million in the last year.
Regarding the music world, the award goes to Jennifer Lopez, who has left her trademark in everything she has done since becoming known to the public thanks to her role as Selena Quintanilla-Perez in the 1997 bio-pic "Selena."
The Puerto Rican musician, actress and business woman has made the incredible sum of $52 million in a year. She has launched several clothing lines and fragrances, and has recently engaged in a business agreement with Verizon Wireless to create "Viva Movil by Jennifer Lopez", a chain of physical and online stores aimed especially at attracting Latinos.
The artist is playing in many fields at the same time: In Hollywood, she has taken part in hit movies such as "The Backup Plan" and "What To Expect When You're Expecting". In music , she has just released a new hit called "Live It Up", featuring Pitbull.
Next in line comes the Colombian siren Shakira, who is estimated to have made throughout her career an amazing $200 million. The singer launched her first album "Pies Descalzos" in 1995, and became popular in Latin America due to it. Her second álbum "¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones?" sold over 7 million copies worldwide. She crossed into the English market with her third album, "Laundry Service", in 2001, and her success hasn't stopped since. She is now serving as a judge on the fourth season of "The Voice".
