David Goyer confirmed that Bruce Wayne may be in the next "Man of Steel."
"The Dark Knight" and "Man of Steel" writer told Hey U Guys that director Zack Snyder wanted to incorporate Wayne into the next film. However he added that it would not be Christopher Nolan's iteration of the character. "It would be disingenuous to say Warners Bros doesn't hope that this would be the starting point for a shared universe. And Zack has said that Bruce Wayne exists in this universe. It would be a different Bruce Wayne from Chris' [Nolan] Dark Knight trilogy, and it would be disingenuous to say that Zack and I haven't had various conversations on set, around 'what if' and 'moving forward'," he said.
Goyer also revealed that if the new series is a success then there could be a Wonder Woman, Flash, and even Justice League movie in the future. "That having been said, it's all going to depend on the next few weeks. Warner Bros has hopes that there will be more Man Of Steel films, and that this will be the beginning of a shared universe. We could meet Batman, or Wonder Woman, or the Justice League in these movies. But they all hinge on box office reception," he said.
Goyer recently revealed that Lex Luther could potentially appear in the next film and stated "If Lex is going to exist in the world, we would presumably have to give him the same treatment that we gave Lois Lane in the first film, which is make him a credible character. [...] He's gotta be a man of incredible intelligence, and presumably a man of incredible wealth and incredible resources."
Wanrer Bros plans to release the next Superman film in 2014. Man of Steel is currently in theaters and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence, action and destruction, and for some language
