Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, was hailed as the newest Miss USA at last night's pageant in Nevada.
Considered as one of the most watched live television events, Miss USA 2013 was aired on NBC and was held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Brady, from South Glastonbury, Conn., beat out 51 other women from every state in America, as well as Washington D.C. She will have a chance to represent the country in the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Russia on November.
Donning a sparkly white gown, Miss Connecticut answered a controversial question in the Q & A portion that helped her seal the crown. Asked if she agreed in the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to swab the cheeks of arrestees for DNA, Brady said she agreed since these people are law breakers.
The question couldn't have been any better for the 25-year-old, Finance Major who took up a minor in Criminal Justice at the Central Connecticut University. Brady now serves as a Financial Accountant at Hatford's Prudential Retirement.
The Miss USA 2013 pageant was also packed with celebrity judges and guests performers that made the night even more spectacular.
Among the star-studded judges panel include legendary fashion designer Betsey Johnson, reality TV star Nene Leakes, MVP Wide Receiver for the Atlanta Cardinals Larry Fitzgerald and singer/ actress/ host, Christina Milian.
Aside from co-hosting the event with E! News co-anchor Guiliana Rancic, Nick Jonas also performed three songs with his brothers, Joe and Kevin, as the Jonas Brothers. The pop-group sang their chart-topping new song, "Pom Poms."
Also setting the mood with some pumping beats was DJ Pauly D from the famed reality show, Jersey Shore, and one of the most sought after DJs today.
As for the new Miss USA, Brady will be spending most of her reign going around the country as the newest advocate for breast and ovarian cancer awareness, the official cause of the organization.
